Fun and engaging activities teaching children about Palestine

Children always have a dedicated section at Palestine Expo, a fun space to learn about Palestine. A couple of the activies included were the popular storytelling based on the ‘Prophets in Palestine’ children’s book and the magical ‘Tree of hope’ where children hung up their messages for Palestine written on leaves.

Prophets in Palestine Theatre

Attendees loved Hassan Rasool, Jumuna Moon and Elizabeth Lymer dramatic storytelling perfromance of the popular childrens book ‘Prophets in Palestine’. This is one of the most popular activities at Palestine Expo.

Tree of Hope

A showstopping handmade copper olive tree was the focal point of this area. Children and adults alike left messages of hope for Palestine on leaves.

Mosaic art

Children created beautiful images of Palestine using colourful mosaic pieces.

Badge and Tote bag making

This was a great creative space where children designing badges and tote bags, taking the finished product home.

The ‘Boycott PUMA’ mini footbal pitch let football lovers have a kick about, whilst learning about PUMA’s role in the occupation.

Dressing up in Palestinian clothes against a hand painted Palestinian countryside scenery was very exciting for the camera loving kids!
